A caption? 'Shlitz', I can't think of one, but that Shlitz can was the only empty one around that some Marine hadn't crushed one handed - remember when a can was a can? I had a 0311/grunt gnaw holes in that one, I told him he could have the beer if he promised not to crush the can.

The barrel was in place when I arrived at KyHa and was used to collect and store rain water for when the water system did not work. Being near the end of the line the regular system did not always have enough pressure to use as a shower but it did have enough pressure to fill the barrel. As I related in an earlier story, I was assigned to the night shift when we first got to KyHa. In the morning, after the others had left I would fill the barrel, sometimes this took a couple hours. There was enough water in the barrel for two showers and if you showered in the afternoon the water was comfortable. I would always make sure the barrel was full when I was finished, but every morning the damn thing would be empty. Only a few us knew about the barrel setup, we would always reconnect the hose to regular system when finished showering, so others thought we were using that system. We knew if word of this got out, it would be over.
