I visited the patch page and noticed that you didn't have one of Bobby's Bunglers patches.
I designed it either on the Tripoli or Valley. Sgt Gray asked for designs for a check crew
patch. Mine was chosen, probably because it was the only design submitted. He had<
patches made up and thats the rest of the story. They had a limited distribution.

1982 Squadron Patch.
Provided by Joe Eltman - 82

"The squadron patch is from the 1982 time frame. The cigar in the tiger's
mouth reflects the cigar chewed by our CO at the time. Col J. D. Alexander.
You may know him from Viet Nam era HMM-262. He came back as our CO.
"The Whip" was what he was known as." - Joe Eltman 1982

1985 Squadron Patch

I noticed that one of the patches had the tiger with the cigar in his mouth.
That was first done by the Metal Shop in 1970 as a joke.  I'm proud to
see that it stayed around." - Carl W. Lawrence '70
