Operation Rose

Sgt Kennith Wheeler

Neil Allen, Cecil Newcomb and I performed the Operation Rose Ceremony for our KIA Brother, Sgt. Kennith Wayne Wheeler (yes it is
spelled correctly). In attendance were: Sgt. Wheeler´s two sisters, his brother, and several other relatives. Also present were the Brownwood
Detachment of the Texas National Guard, providing four man Color Guard, the local Vietnam Veteran´s Association with a bugler for Taps, the Brown County, Texas Veterans Administration´s Veterans Service Officer (a retired Gy/Sgt), several members of the Brownwood VFW Post and a few High School classmates and friends. In all, close to 40 persons attended the ceremony.
